I have 2 of the Abu Garcia 4000 Rear drag reels. I use them for all my short, to medium range feeder work. Can hit 55m easily, with 8lb mono when matched with the right rod. Had countless double figure fish on these reels from 40-55 metres out, on method and groundbait feeders. Handled easily, and the drag adjustment on the RD is quick and responsive, and the reel is very lightweight. I own reels costing 5 or 6 times the price, but I simply love these reels, and they are my first choice for medium range feeder work, and I have 100% confidence in these reels. For the money and reliability, they are in my opinion, second to non.
