#153;t easy, but we have managed to achieve what we set out to do! The new 16.0m 501 2G is a huge improvement on the previous award winning model. Using the same mandrel, we have made it an unbelievable 123 grams lighter, more rigid in action and even stronger. This pole is now the new benchmark for poles under 1k. Each kit comes supplied with an extra-long PTFE bush fitted as standard along with a unique side puller.
With the 2G series, we’ve taken away the hassle of having to fit side puller bushes. All 2G kits come pre-fitted with our unique new Slotted Side Puller Bush.
This bush take the original idea of our PTFE side puller bush – a curved design that centralizes the elastic within the top kit – and puts it into a total new package that has been fitted via an engineered slot to mean that you can elasticate the pole straight out of the holdall.
In short, you can now benefit from puller bush performance at no extra cost! Did we mention that all kits come pre-bushed?
More kit options
All our 2G poles come with dedicated power and match kits, but we’ve also introduced new ‘traditional’ top kits that feature a No1 section for fitting smaller bushes and lighter elastics.
This was something we’d been asked about since the early days of TKS and we’ve listened to consumers with these new kits being made available separately. These kits with take up to a No12 elastic and come pre-bushed.
We’ve also introduced a cupping kit to match our F1 Short Shalla kit. Anglers have lapped up this one-piece kit for when a standard top kit is too long for short rigs, but they’ve been asking us for a shorter cupping… we obliged and there’s now a 6ft, one-piece cupping kit that is designed to fit our new Groundbait Pole Cup set.
