Information

The Kamasan Black Cap feeder needs no introduction, it’s one of the most popular maggot feeders on the market. Used to loose feed maggots into a swim to encourage fish into an area and feed confidently, the Black Cap maggot feeder allows you to present a bed of bait close to you hook bait.

Made from tough and durable plastic, the tubular design has strategically placed holes around the outer walls of the feeder, this allows maggots to freely disperse from the feeder and create that lovely bed of bait you require to encourage fish to feed. You can dictate the speed at which maggots leave the feeder by masking some of the holes with tape.

In addition to that, there is a preformed lead mounted on the bottom of the feeder this ensuring the feeder lands the same way up after every cast and stops the feeder rolling on steep slopes or in strong flows, providing a perfectly presented rig time and time again. With the lead being implemented into the design of the feeder, this provides an aerodynamic design that can be cast long ranges and with accuracy.

The Black Cap feeder lid is secured in place with a low tolerance snug fit and additionally is secured in place with an elasticated powergum cord that runs through the centre of the lid and is connected to a swivel. The elasticated cord not only provides a secondary security measure but also dampens the force from the cast which helps eliminate crack offs during the cast.

The free-rolling swivel located on the top of the feeder provides a connection and helps prevent line twist

Very popular for trout fishing and coarse fishing.
