The veriweight feeders offer the angler the ability to critically balance the feeder using up to nine weight combinations.
Primarily designed for maggot work, but can be adapted for hemp, caster and chop worm by enlarging the holes slightly.
Due to its speckled camouflage body the veriweight feeder in water is less obtrusive than a conventional feeder, so is less likely to spook wary fish.
Although they are excellent on stillwaters, variweight feeders were primarily designed for the river angler who needs to make small adjustments to the weight loading, in order to get the feeder fishing perfectly.
The ability to make these adjustments without replacing one feeder for another and without altering its streamlining is a real advantage, especially when fishing for drop backs with a carbon quiver tip.
With just one light and one heavy variweight feeder, nine different weight combinations are available. All base weights can be removed and swapped for lighter or heavier as necessary.
The base weights are divided into two unequal parts, and simply slide in and out of their housing in the bottom of the feeder. Should a base weight become stuck due to groundbait etc., it can be pushed out with a disgorger through the lower hole in the end of the feeder.
