The foam tailed blob (foamarsed blob is the true nameFAB) is the latest adaptation of the blob. Its foam tail allows the fly to act like a booby, but without the eyes. A hugely successful fly when fished with a team of nymphs on a floating line. Also works exceptionally well on sinking lines fished slowly.
