This is very similar to the 12 Puddle Chucker Carp feeder rod but has a softer, even more through action.
It is still excellent at catching small sized commercial carp, and even river chuband barbel, but really comes into its own when targeting skimmers, roach, bream and tench on stillwaters and commercials as well as a river bream. It really is an excellent shock absorber.
the slightly longer 12 length is good when you want to steer fish away from nearside snags and also very useful when you need to hold some line off the water when fishing across a flowing river.
This longer lever allows you to place feeders with a high degree of accuracy (important when fishing to features) without having to force or punch them too hard.
Although it has quite a relatively mellow action it still feels rigid enough to keep you in control. This is especially useful when fishing in awkward winds otherwise rods can bounce around a bit too much sometimes making bite detection very difficult.
Suggested reel lines are in the range 3lb to 6lb with hooklengths matched accordingly.
Supplied with slow taper glass feedertips of 2oz and 3oz which are ideal for the varied uses this rod has.
This 2 section rod can be made up ready for use, folded and stored in its own padded rod sleeve which is supplied as standard.
